Freehold has moved up to A North this winter, and head coach Jenn Brzucki is looking for her Colonials to be competitive there. They have one of the area’s best players in Rebecca Cobb, who averaged 15.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game last year.  Cobb and guard Sophia Duffy are holdovers from Freehold’s 2013 Central Jersey Group III championship team.

Also back are seniors Erica Bastry (guard), Kayla Cassandra (forward) and Kristin Poskaitis (senior), and sophomores Kayla Fletcher (guard) and Sierra Strong, from last year’s 9-8 team.  The Colonials are 2-1. Their loss came to Dayton, 51-42, in the final of the Joe Pepe Memorial Tournament in Springfield.
