Red Bank Regional held on down the stretch to seal a 40-39 victory over Freehold Borough in Freehold. Emma Keegan, Meme Paterno and Mary Vilardi all scored a team-high seven
points for Red Bank Regional. Red Bank
used a 14-8 run in the third quarter to cut into an 18-11 halftime
deficit. Stephanie Giardina scored the final point of the game, hitting a free
throw for Freehold Borough with 11 seconds left. Erica Bastry nailed a
3-pointer with 20 seconds left that made it a 39-38 contest. Rebecca Cobb had 14 points, eight rebounds and three blocks for Freehold
Borough, which opened the game on an 11-4 run. Sierra Strong added 12
points and seven rebounds.
