School (record, previous ranking)
1. Red Bank Catholic (18-1, 1): Has done everything asked of it and can cap off an undefeated division slate Friday at St. John Vianney.
2. St. John Vianney (12-7, 2): After a three-overtime classic against Ossining, wins at Manasquan and Holmdel were crucial.
3. Point Boro (17-1, 3): Barring a major upset between now and the SCT cutoff, a top-3 seed is all but assured.
4. Middletown South (15-2, 4): In a wild year across the Shore Conference, the Eagles are likely a team that no one wants to face.
5. Holmdel (12-6, 5): See No. 4, but substitute ‘Hornets’ in place of ‘Eagles.’
6. Freehold (15-3, 6): The Colonials have interesting resume, which could lead to any number of SCT seeding possibilities.
7. Point Beach (15-0, 8): See No. 6, but substitute ‘Garnet Gulls’ in place of ‘Colonials.’
8. Manasquan (11-7, 10): Needs to be rooting for as many teams to qualify as possible. The more teams in, the more likely the Warriors get a first-round bye.
9. Neptune (13-4, 9): Hosting Trenton Catholic Saturday afternoon will be a good measuring stick.
10. Rumson-Fair Haven (12-7, 7): We don’t know. Seriously, we really don’t.
